Our history
Rappi was thought of as the solution that would connect small businesses or "neighborhood stores" with users in a few city blocks.
In its early
days
the app was seen as a digital pantry store and a small group of people promoted it by giving away donuts in exchange for downloads. Then, its big differentiator was to include the "Rappi Antojo" button and with this option, anyone with the app could order anything.
By listening to the users, the first SupperApp in Latin America was born and in a matter of just a few months it added to its portfolio many options for its users, like fashionable restaurants, the largest food chains or features like ATM services, Pharmacies and Supermarkets.
Today Rappi operates in 9 countries all over Latin America and is present in more than 220 cities. With over 100 million downloads since 2015, today, we can find a wide variety of options in the platform’s major verticals, that go from ordering products in under 10 minutes to having a digital bank account with a card on your doorstep in minutes.
